NEW VIOLA!!!

Recently I acquired a new viola (!!very exciting!!). After a month of trying out different instruments, getting adjustments made, and then experimenting with different bows, I found a new champion in crime for alto creation. Wooo!!!

I used a built-in LR Baggs mic, the microphone from my H4N Recorder (to get some of the room sound), and added an oscillator in Ableton. ;}

I'm Hanna Brock, a violist living in Chicago.

My mission is to explore new sounds with viola, through extended technique and electronic modification.


Recently I've been working with performance artists and dancers, creating improvised sounds using voice, viola, and looping pedals.
